EIK Trustee Handing-over and Taking-over Ceremony
On 23rd July 2026, the Environment Institute of Kenya (EIK) held its Handing-over and Taking-over Ceremony for the outgoing and incoming Board of Trustees at the Panari Hotel, Nairobi, marking a significant milestone in the Institute's leadership journey. EIK expresses its sincere appreciation to the outgoing Board of Trustees, led by Chairman Mr. Cyprian Kirera Riungu, Prof. Ayub Gitau, Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, and Ms. Elizabeth Nzani, for their exemplary leadership, dedication, and stewardship. Their invaluable service has strengthened the Institute's governance and advanced its mission of promoting environmental excellence. The Institute also warmly congratulates the incoming Board of Trustees, led by H.E. Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo, Governor of Vihiga County, together with Ms. Irene Keino and Ms. Susan Munyasya, who were elected during the EIK Annual General Meeting held on 29th May 2026. We wish them every success as they begin their tenure and look forward to their leadership in advancing EIK's vision, strengthening institutional governance, and championing environmental sustainability. EIK remains committed to working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Council led by Chairman Mr. Alex Mugambi, and the Secretariat under the leadership of CEO Titus Kilonzo Mutuku to advance environmental professionalism and drive sustainable development in Kenya.
